Are there any hidden costs? What's the catch?
There is absolutely NO COST for you to become an Affiliate. There is no catch.

How much is my commission?
Qualifying sales earn a commission of 7% of the "net sale." Your net sales are calculated by subtracting shipping, tax and returns or chargebacks from the total sales amount. For example, if a qualifying sale is made for $200 before shipping and taxes, you earn a commission of $14 (7% of $200 = $14).

How soon after a visitor clicks on the link on my page must they make a purchase for me to earn a commission?
You will earn a commission for up to 15 days after a person visits your site, clicks on our link, then makes a purchase on our store. In other words, if a person clicks on our link from your site and comes to our store, but does not make a purchase at that time, you may still earn a commission if that person returns to our store within 15 days and makes a qualifiying purchase. If a person makes more than one purchase from our store within those 15 days, you will earn a commission on each sale!

When will I not earn a commission?
You would not earn a commission if the person clicks on the link of another one of our affiliates between the time they clicked on our link on your site and the time they made the purchase. You also would not earn a commission if the visitor turned off or otherwise disabled the "cookie" set when they clicked on the link from your site to our site.

When are my commissions paid?
Payments are made by the 20th day of each month for the preceding month. Payment are made only when your balance exceeds $20. If you balance for the month is less than $20, your commissions will accumulate and be added with the next month's commissions.

When do I start earning commissions?
Immediately. You start earning commission as soon as your links are up and the first sale is made through these links.

How long does it take to hear back from you once I sign up?
We try to reply to all applications within 48 hours. However, please be patient - we take the time to visit every applicant web site to make sure that it meets our standards.

I have my own personal web site, can I apply?
Sure! We allow both companies and individuals to become FishUSA.com Affiliates.

Does my web site have to be fishing-related?
No. Our program is a good fit for fishing-related web sites, but other sites can certainly link to FishUSA.com and make money too.

Can a web site based outside the United States become a FishUSA.com Affiliate?
Yes. You must select PayPal as your payment choice.

How do I link to FishUSA.com?
Once you sign-up for the FishUSA.com program and are approved, you will be given special URLs and graphics that allow you to link to our store. There are both text links or banner links. Currently most links are directly to the FishUSA.com home page. Software upgrades in the near future will allow you to link directly to any of our product or category pages.

How does FishUSA.com know how much traffic is coming from my site?
Your links will contain a unique tag that represents your site. When a visitor uses one of your links to browse FishUSA.com, the tag is stored and when that visitor makes a purchase, the tag is passed to our order database and credits the sale to your account.

Can I use my own link to make a purchase?
Yes. We encourage you to use your links for your own purchases on FishUSA.com. You will even receive commissions on these purchases, provided you are using the URLs we gave you when you signed up. In effect, you will save 7% off of all your fishing supplies just by being a FishUSA.com Affiliate!

How do I know when someone has bought something from my site?
When you sign-up, you can select the option to receive an email every time someone makes a sale from your site, so you will know right away that a sale has been made. You can also log in to our system with your unique user name and password at any time and check the status of your account.

How many links can I have to FishUSA.com?
You can have as many links to FishUSA.com as you want. Remember - the more sales you drive to the FishUSA.com site, the more commission you will make! The only requirement is that you set up the links using the banners and links we give you when you sign up.

What are my linking options?
Currently we only support links to the FishUSA.com main page. We anticipate adding shortly the ability to link directly to a particular product in our store.

Should I list product prices?
Definitely not. Special prices and discounts may apply for a limited time only. Product availability can also lead to changes in prices or discounts. If you list prices, you run the risk of confusing your visitors if these prices change.

How old do I have to be to participate in the program?
You must be 18 years or older to participate in the FishUSA.com Affiliate program.

Can I download product or other images from FishUSA.com and use them on my web site?
No. All images, product photography and text is the exclusive property of FishUSA, Inc. and cannot be used without our express written permission. Please use only approved artwork from our Logos, Banner and Artwork page.
